OMG, i’m fiiiinally finished my Round 3 submission!! I honestly do not know how anyone does extractions for fun, are they mad?! Although, i guess they make a bit from people like me who hate this job! These things were nothing but a headache for me, BUT, i did admitedly learn alot (thanks Kristine!) and at least i know the best way (for me) to do them if i have to, LOL.
I created a mix of elements, as i couldn’t get to the craft store to stock up on pretties… i just used what i had here at home, and i’m quite happy with how they turned out! Hope they’re of use to you! They are CU OK, and no credit required – how good is that, and all for FREE!! Head over HERE at FPD to download them, and also check out the other submissions while you’re there – not all are CU, but you will find a couple! And please leave some luv for everyone for their (really) hard work! =)
I’m in, i’m in!! *does Rikki Lake type happy dance* I made it to Round #3 of the Capture the Flag contest at FPD!! How amazing is that?! This week though, i’m scaaaared! LOL We have to extract 4 items and recolour them 2 times each. The re-colouring, – no sweat, but the extraction bit? I’m fairly pukin’ my guts up just thinking about it! I am sooo not good at that! Please keep everything crossed for me, i’m gonna need all the luck i can get! Thanks for all the kind comments on my last submission! MWAH!
PS – If anyone has any good tips for extracting (in CS4), please let me know asap! LOL
OMG, what a week it was last week! No matter how well you get on with your in-laws, it’s always a pain in the ass having them stay with you, LOL. At least with your own family you can tell them off when you want! 
Last/this week i had my submission for Week 2 of Capture the Flag at FPD to finish. Since the IL’s were here from Thursday ’til Sunday, it only left me just over a day to figure out what i was going to do and finish it! We had a particular swatch and minimum requirements to work with as i said, and they’re not typically the type of colours i’d go for, but i came to like them in the end. We had to use no more than 3 CU items for our elements, which pushed me, LOL, but i rose to the challenge, and learnt a heap of new things too! Wish i could have gotten more done, but alas, no time! Hopefully i make it to Round 3 and can get stuck in how i’d like. Here though, is Kinderplay.

YEEE-HAAA!!! I’m onto Round 2 of the Capture the Flag Designer Contest over at FPD!! I got home from a day shopping today, and the first thing i had to do was jump on the ‘puter to see if i’d made it! When i read my name, i literally squealed and did a happy dance! LOL Tragic, LOL, but oh i’m so excited!!
This week, we have a particular swatch to work with, and a certain amount of papers/elements to do. Last week there was no swatch, so it should be interesting to see what everyone envisions for these colours. =)
Wow, my butt has been literally stuck to this chair for the last 4 days! Why, you ask? Because i’ve been working on my entry for Week 1 of the Design Contest happening at FPD! I started 2 kits before finally deciding on the 3rd design, LOL, but now that it’s finished i’m really pleased! I have uploaded it straight away however, so i don’t go back and change anything….i’m so bad at that! LOL You can snag my submission over HERE in the gallery (matching solid papers are also available), and while you’re there, check out the other entries and leave them some luvin’! I’m a tad nervous about this contest after seeing some of the amazing work that’s there….but i can only try my best and hopefully it’ll get me somewhere!

I have some more news too. I’ve finished up at Digiscrap Boutique, and am thinking about closing at DigiScrapShop soon also. I’m participating in the ‘Capture the Flag’ Designer Contest at FPD, so hopefully something might come from that – they look like fun people, and right up my alley! In the meantime I have set up my own little blog shoppe where you can grab anything i decide to sell.
I also have a freebie for ya, it was a kit i was working on for ages, but just wasn’t having any luck with the elements. So, you get the papers for nothing! Hopefully someone can use them.

Finally you say!! I know, i know….slack-arse i am, i forgot you all again! LOL Well, i’ve been working on my ‘changes’ and had a bit of trouble, so it’s been delayed for a little bit longer. I’ve been busy lately with school stuff (as i might have said before, i’m President of our P&C Association), and just spending time with the fam lately, so have been a lazy blogger….but i come with a peace offering! Spirit of Summer is a charity collab benefiting the Victorian bushfire Appeal. Not only has this effected Australians, but human beings the world over. 29 Australian and international designers have banded together to help support many Australians, animals and communities decimated by one Australia’s worse national disasters.
What happened? On Saturday, Feb 7, the temperature in Melbourne was 33′c by 9am. By noon it was 40′c and by 2.50 pm soared to 47.9′c (a state record). Thousands of people were also about to start running from the inferno that would become one of Australia’s worst peacetime disasters. Trees ignited in the blink of an eye. By the time people heard the roar, it was too late to flee ahead of the flames. Unfortunately no one or thing could have stopped this inferno that wiped out communities, bushland, and lives within minutes. Many towns now cease to exist! After watching interviews with survivors, many say that they cant put into words what they went through, saw or felt on that day.
